Personal data I collect
As a business, I need to collect personal data to be able to communicate with clients and complete assignments. This can include your email address, phone number, billing information and contract details, all of which is stored on encrypted hard drives and/or my password-protected mobile phone. In all cases, I only store information that you provide me with directly. I use this information to contact you regarding your queries or assignments, complete the work you’ve asked me to do or send invoices. The legal justification is legitimate interest, namely doing the best possible job I can for your needs.
Use of photos for marketing and social media purposes
I publish some of my photos and portfolio on this website or Instagram (@anjawphoto) for artistic as well as marketing purposes. Before posting these photos, I ask for people’s consent. You have the right to refuse to have your images posted on my website. Even if you accept, you may, at any time, change your mind and I’ll happily take those photos down. Please contact me at any time if you’d like me to take a specific photo of you down or ask questions about this policy. The legal justification for this part is consent.
Archiving of photos
I keep an archive of all photos for copyright protection purposes. As stated above, this data is kept on at least two encrypted hard drive in a locked building with no direct internet connection.
Use of cookies and website analytics
My website uses cookies. I also use Google Analytics. This collects information which might include your IP address, geographic location, browser, referral source, length of visit, page views, operating system, frequency and pattern of your visits to my site. This information is only stored by Google Analytics and not on my own servers. The legal basis is legitimate interest as well, namely to monitor and improve my website experience and searchability.
Sharing data with third parties
I don’t, under any circumstances, share or sell your data to third parties. If, for the purposes of an assignment, there is a requirement to share any data with any other party, I will first ask for permission and tell you exactly what data will be shared, why and who it will be shared with.
Right of confirmation, access, rectification and erasure
If you have any questions about how your data is stored, which data of yours is stored or anything of that nature, please feel free to contact me. You may also request that I delete all of your data, which I will gladly do, though please understand that I need some of your information to complete any open assignments you may have for me.
